Before you hunker down for multiplayer stabbing at Comic-Con, here’s some advice to help you not get stabbed a lot.
Early on in Assassin’s Creed 2, you run across a room full of, er, “Animii” (shortly before his departure, former Ubisoft creative director Patrice Desilets confirmed that this is the proper plural form of “Animus”), and because at that point you’re simply running away, there’s little-to-no explanation as to what this room full of Animii is for. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood finally answers that question: said room is a gigantic training room for Templars to learn how to be Assassins.
If you’re curious about the single-player and the lore stuff that happens in this follow-up to AC2, then check out the video below for a quick tour of stuff like improved villas and having a fully rendered Rome as your open-world playground. If you’re curious about what it will be like to play a multiplayer version of Assassin’s Creed, you actually have a chance to do just that — provided that you hit up San Diego Comic Con next week. For those of you who will, here’re some advanced tips so that you don’t suck as much as I do when playing. Continue reading »

Ubisoft has confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed II spinoff due later this year will be called “Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.”
Word of the title was leaked when placeholder art featuring the name appeared on GameStop. Ubisoft also registered the site AssassinsCreedBrotherhood.com (via Kotaku).
According to the back cover, Ezio will be taking charge of a brotherhood of Asasassins to take on Rome and the Templars directly. It also teases the new multiplayer mode, which was confirmed when the game was first announced.
Ubisoft has been slowly ramping up the hype machine for the new title, having recently teased the game on Facebook. It was first announced in January. Continue reading »

It was revealed last week that Ubisoft still has two unannounced Tom Clancy games in the works, and now that mystery has been at least halfway solved: Ubisoft announced today that Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 is in development and slated for release later this year.
This is of course the sequel to 2009’s Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. (pictured above), a flight-combat action game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC (pop quiz — who still remembers what “H.A.W.X.” stands for? Why, “High Altitude Warfare eXperimental squadron,” sillies!). H.A.W.X. 2 will once again take 360, PS3, and PC gamers into the sky, and will add the Wii to its list of platforms as well.
Gameplay details in the announcement were light, with the press release promising control of “the world’s most technologically advanced aircraft,” and “amazing aerial warfare missions” in the sequel. “With over one million units sold worldwide, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. has become a very successful brand for Ubisoft,” stated Ubisoft creative director Bogdan Bridinel. “This new H.A.W.X. game is directly inspired by Tom Clancy’s books, and it will enable fans to once again experience the excitement and intensity that established H.A.W.X. as a successful brand.” Continue reading »

Ubisoft USPTO filing reveals likely name of next installment in its tactical Tom Clancy shooter series, due out after Q1 2010.
Ever since it was first revealed in January–and officially announced in April–Ghost Recon 4 has been shrouded in mystery. No details on the next installment in the Tom Clancy-inspired tactical shooter series have been revealed other than its release window, which will be sometime after March 2010.
Even the game’s name is a working title, obscuring whether it is a direct sequel to the last installment in the series, 2007’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. That mystery deepened in October, when the Australian Classification Board classified a game called “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Predator.”

GRAW2 already had non-deployed military technology. Will Future Solider do the
